Some people seem to be luckier than others - they find their perfect partners, achieve their dreams, and live happy and meaningful lives. But is luck really a matter of chance, or can we influence it with our actions and mindset? According to psychology professor and author of "The Luck Factor", Richard Wiseman, there are four common traits that lucky people share. These are:
1. They are mindful. Lucky people are alert and aware of what's going on around them and inside them. They pay attention to their intuition and notice opportunities that others might miss.
2. They are proactive. Lucky people make things happen. They don't wait for luck to knock on their door, they go out and create it. They take action, and always "stir the pot" until they stumble into interesting opportunities . They also seek feedback and learn from their mistakes.
3. They are optimistic. Lucky people have a glass half full mindset, always expecting good things to happen and seeing the bright side of every situation. They don't let setbacks discourage them, but rather use them as motivation to try harder or try something different. They also practice gratitude and appreciate their blessings, while also imagining how things could be worse and how lucky they are for what they have.
4. They are resilient. Lucky people bounce back from adversity and turn bad luck into good luck. They are adaptable and agile to changing circumstances.
If you want to attract more luck into your life, you can start by cultivating these four qualities. Luck is not a fixed trait that only some people innately have according to Wiseman. With consistent practice, it is a skill that you can develop and have more of in your life over time.
