3 Ways to Organize Your Thoughts Through Writing And Optimize Your Brain Productivity
Susan A.

Want to optimize your brain energy for better productivity? Try making a 2nd brain by organizing your thoughts through writing. Here are 3 ways you can easily do it :

1. Mind Mapping

It is a tool that was made popular by Tony Buzan in the early 1970s that has been widely used, to aid the thinking process, note-taking, and also brainstorming.

The concept is mapping out your thoughts by writing in a diagram. The main thought/idea is placed in the center and branches out into sections points/ideas that can branch out into sub-ideas, just like how a tree looks like. It's really easy to learn and apply.

Applying mind mapping not only helps you to note your thoughts but also allows you to see the big picture from a helicopter view (rather than having your thoughts in your mind).

2. Bullet Journaling

It is also known as BuJo (developed by Ryder Caroll) which has gained popularity as a personal organization tool since 2013.

Basically, it is a notebook with blank pages or grid boxes to jot down tasks, events, and notes (these are items of the bullets). It gives you one place with a unique system to write out and organize your thoughts from day to day, weeks, and months.

BuJo helps your brain focus on the strategic function that enables you to review your past, view the present, and plan your future.

3. Outlining

And the easiest way to write and organize your thoughts, is outlining it.

Generally, it's like making a list and sequences of thoughts/ideas in a format from top to bottom layout. Each thought/idea would have sections and sub-section, as expansion.

Outlining is great especially for writing logical thoughts ie. writing, as it will guide the thinking process and aid the flow.

The all-in-one writing platform.

Write, publish everywhere, see what works, and become a better writer - all in one place.
