How I built my product sense using fast feedback loops?

I come from an engineering background. Looking back, seeing a lot of what works and what doesn't helped me grow:

  1. Visiting Product Hunt was almost a daily ritual for me. You see the new launches at the start of the day, go through them, try to predict which ones would gain traction, and come back the next day to close the feedback loop. This is something I've done on and off for years after college.

  2. Shark Tank was the other core pillar. Watching the pitches and seeing the judges' feedback (especially Kevin O'Leary) closed the loop immediately. It helped me broaden my perspectives on what a business can be. I'm grateful that I stumbled across it in college.

Product sense is the ability to understand what makes a product great. It's an acquired skill. How has your journey been?
