If you use it right, Evernote is the most powerful brain. I went through a tough time with memory. You may have a time in the past or ahead when a medical condition or memory impacts your daily performance. It's terrifying. I worked very hard to develop systems to compensate, and the secret is notes and lots of recording. (I have used this for over 15 years) Developing a system that works for you brings you the benefits of peace of mind, the ability to find info quickly, and keep your journals, goals, and plans.
But the truth is, most people have no idea how to use Evernote and don't use it.
Here are 15 Evernote uses you probably don't know:
Capture Tool with all these 9 options:
Record It - voice record
Photograph it - capture photos
Drag it - drag and drop files from emails or drives
Print it - print files
Paste it - copy and paste the info to use again or file
Clip it - use the google extension to capture from the browser
Email it - forward emails to your notebook with tags
Scan it - document scanner which will straighten and align the page
Type it - type in notes from mobile or computer
Draw it - whiteboard on mobile to make quick notes
Add other automation:
Set up zapier or IFTT to copy the content you want from social accounts, calendars, and to-do lists into your notebook
Setup email alerts on notes or subscription info
Make and save template files for repeating notes or meetings
Auto-create notes from your calendar for meetings, and add notes from Otter.ai to the note. Otter can join meetings from google that you don't attend and capture notes. Try it out
Capture recipes with pictures for future menu planning of your favorites
Other tools no-code tools can be built out with automation to do some of these functions but are not nearly as functional as options across Evernote mobile and PC capabilities in the product. There is a learning curve to adopting the habit of capturing information and tagging but the value is incredible over time to find information.
