There are a lot of books about Focus, and more specifically, regaining our ability to focus.
I've read a good number of them.
I've always related my ability to focus with my ability to be productive, and I highly value productivity (arguably too much).
I just finished "Stolen Focus" by Johann Hari. I'd go as far as saying everyone should read this book.
For a few reasons:
We haven't lost focus, it's aggressively being stolen and fought for.
Big Tech is not the only problem. Factors like diet and air quality effect our ability to focus as well
Is the 5 day work week really the best way?
What would happen if you abandoned your phone for 3 months?
Our Stolen Focus is not just an individual problem, but a societal one.
Actionable ways to improve your ability to focus.
I listened to this on my walks the last week or two, but I will absolutely be reading it and taking notes in paperback form. I can't recommend this book enough.
(And if you've read it, do you agree? What other book would you recommend on the topic)
