Do you want to get started working in healthcare entrepreneurship?

I have been working in healthcare for nearly 40 years and transitioned into entrepreneurship 5 years ago. From experience, I can tell you that starting a business in this field requires courage, clarity, and a willingness to learn from both your successes and your mistakes.

So, here's the 1 tip I would give you if you wanted to pursue a similar path:

Start Small but Think Big.

Many aspiring nurse entrepreneurs feel overwhelmed by the idea of starting a business. The key is to begin with what you know. Whether it’s offering private nursing care, consulting for healthcare agencies, or providing wellness workshops—start with a small, actionable idea that aligns with your current skills.

Why does this matter? Starting small allows you to test the waters without taking unnecessary risks. You’ll learn valuable lessons about your audience, refine your services, and grow your confidence. Most importantly, you’ll avoid the common mistake of trying to do too much at once, which can lead to burnout.

Remember, the goal isn’t to have it all figured out immediately. It’s about starting with clarity, learning as you go, and scaling as you gain traction. Every successful healthcare entrepreneur starts somewhere. Why not start today?
