How can the smallest grain in the world make the biggest impact on your life?
In this thread I cover 5 reasons why you should make Teff a staple in your diet
🧵👇
#1: Gluten-Free
To all my people suffering from Celiac disease teff is your best friend. When all the popular grains were picking on you, teff accepted you for who you were. If there was a high school for grains teff would win most talented.
Its gut friendly aura and knack for delivering rich nutrients to your body, make you appreciate having teff in your circle.
#2: Rich in nutrients
Speaking of rich in nutrients teff is quiet wealthy. It’s an excellent source of Vitamin C, its loaded with protein, high in calcium, and has more iron than Tony Stark.
You would be wise to invest in teff as the benefits will compound daily and before you know it your health is wealth.
#3: Cultural significance
Ethiopia is not just known for giving the world coffee but also popularizing teff.
Injera (flatbread) the main staple in Ethiopian cuisine is used to scoop up various meat and vegetarian stews that will have your mouth watering like the Blue Nile.
Teff is an ancient grain and has been around Ethiopia longer than Orthodox Christianity. If you have an Ethiopian restaurant near you be sure to stop by and try it out for yourself.
Small disclaimer if you have that phobia of small holes near each other (Trypophobia) then Injera will be a nightmare for you.
#4: Versatile grain
If you’re not into holy bread, there are plenty of other ways to enjoy teff and make it a regular part of your diet.
Teff can be used to make a variety of things such as pancakes, pie crusts, scones, and shortbreads.
You can turn some of your favorite recipes into nutritious gluten free and guilt free dishes.
#5: Gets your bowel moving
You feeling a little backed up? Don’t take a laxative, just eat some teff and you will be running to the bathroom faster than a track and field athlete at the Olympics.
Teff is a great source of fiber and stimulates bowel movement so that you can be regular again because were all weird sometimes.
