Don‘t buy Bitcoin, study Bitcoin.
That‘s the foundation - and it‘s always the first thing I emphasise when I introduce Bitcoin to newcomers.
Here is my view: there is more to Bitcoin than meets the eye. Most people have a fixed, though mostly vague, notion of what Bitcoin is - shaped by media snippets, vague hearsay, or someone’s half-baked explanation.
I‘d encourage you to think twice!
Bitcoin has been around for 16 years now. People tend to feel strongly about it - either wholly for it or firmly against it. Have you ever wondered why it keeps coming up again and again? It‘s been declared dead and useless countless times, yet it stubbornly persists in the public conversation. If so irrelevant, why bother talking about it then? Why are so many compelled to declare it useless?
I personally love the advice „Study Bitcoin“ for many reasons. Foremost, because it’s self-empowering. It doesn’t hand you conclusions or assumptions. It simply asks you to take responsibility for your own perspective. And eventually for yourself (and without falling into the trap of contradicting my own advice and feeding conclusions - maybe that’s a fare share of what Bitcoin is).
