I recently signed up for the Ship 30 for 30 writing program. This is not my first foray into digital writing - I have had a couple of blog sites in the past. However, I have always struggled with consistency in my writing.
Here are 3 reasons why I signed up with Ship 30 for 30 to help me overcome that obstacle:
Reason #1 - Atomic Essay format
This program emphasizes writing atomic essays.
Writing concisely is a skill. I admit that I have been part of the mindset that you need to thoroughly explore or explain your topic if you want people to read it. But in today's busy world, trying to get reader eyes on a 5K essay can be near impossible.
I want to get better at hooking readers and getting engagement.
Reason #2 - Accountability
Ship 30 for 30 provides simple tools through Skool and Typeshare to keep you accountable.
Feeling like what I've written is worth publishing has always been my biggest struggle. I especially don't feel comfortable posting to most of the social media sites like Twitter or Facebook. Fortunately, Ship 30 or 30 provides access to its Skool community board where I can engage with fellow shippers and the Typeshare social blogging platform to help me commit to publishing daily.
Reason #3 - Developing a Writing Habit
This program emphasizes a daily writing habit and lessons structured around achieving that singular goal. The hardest part about writing is starting. So this is where I'm going to start developing that consistency that will keep me writing.
