I realised I cannot scale my business at all. Trading time for money is a killer.

I've been running my consultation for over 7 years now, after leaving agency land after nearly 25 years. It's been a rollercoaster of a journey, from incredibly amazing months to worrying months that made me want to shut it all down.

I realised that this cannot go on, working for yourself is great - don't get me wrong - but it's also the worst thing you can do.

I want to build things, launch products, be my own boss - truly, not client dependent

So I am currently productising all the experience and knowledge into digital products.

You can build something that can be used over and over again. You spend time building it, then resell it over and over.

Thanks to the likes of Jack Butcher, Arvid Kahl and Daniel Vassallo I'm on a mission!

Here's how I'm doing it and how you can too

• First, take Jack Butchers 'Build Once, sell Twice' course' - it will change your life, and will help with the next point.

• I went through every client request, email, comment, question. Plus looked at what were the things I repeated on these projects. These have become the products

• Platforms I use to share and sell your knowledge: Podia, Gumroad, Memberstack with Webflow. Use tech that is frictionless, you want to work on your content, not the tech.

• Products: eBooks, courses, cohorts, notion templates, spreadsheet templates... loads of options.

• Algorithm for social media: Give, give, give, give, give, give, ask - help more then you pitch

• Start - Don't let any gear like cameras and audio slow you. down. That mobile you have will do the job

• A series of small bets - you won't make loads of money at first but constantly testing and tweaking will get you closer to what works

• Communities - join others doing just this. My choices where I find inspiration and support: Weekendclub, Shiny Objects Social Club, Trends.vc - great people

Nothing happens overnight, you have to keep trying. Something will stick
