Harry Truman said, “not all readers are leaders, but all leaders are readers.”

There’s more 👇🏻

“If you haven’t read hundreds of books, you are functionally illiterate, and you will be incompetent because your personal experiences alone aren’t broad enough to sustain you.” -Gen. Jim Mattis (Ret), Call Sign Chaos

Many leaders I talk to wish they had more time to read.

The fact is, we’re all busy.

And “they” aren’t making any more time.

Do you believe in personal growth, strengthening your mind, and learning from the greats who have gone before you?

If so, I encourage you to make reading a priority.

Set aside time on your schedule.

Do it first thing in the morning, even for 15 minutes.

My daily routine starts with 15 minutes (minimum) of reading.

Some days I get precisely 15 minutes. Some days, I get more.

Look at that “list” you’ve been building, choose something that catches your interest, and read.

• Take notes.

• Highlight a passage that speaks to you.

• Think about how you can apply the lessons you’re learning.

Share what you’re reading with someone close to you.

I love to learn what my connections and teammates are reading.

So, what are you reading?
