We study the history of revival history as a way of boosting our faith in what God has done and can do.

But in the coming days, God wants to move in a way that there are no historical references to frame or define the work of his spirit.

So, new will really mean new. We can't expect the new wine of the spirit unless we make new wine skins to hold a deeper dimension of his glory in our lives.

So how can we begin to respond to this?

  • Avoid Assumption

The difference between Saul and David is their heart for inquiring heart. Saul moved to please God on his terms. But David longed to please God on God’s terms. We must be willing to yield and surrender—not to what we feel is right, but to what God is asking us to release.

  • Clear Out Our Spiritual Ears

Often we miss the new move of God due to the wax that builds up in our spiritual ears. This can be unrepentence, disappointment, fear etc. Scriptures tell us that only the pure in heart will see God. So to perceive the new thing that God is doing, we have to cultivate purity of heart so we can hear and sense his leading more clearly.

  • Fresh Sacrifice

And lastly, a fresh sacrifice will birth a fresh fire for God. We have to unsubscribe from the spirit of doing just the bare minimum. That will no longer sustain us in the coming days of great shaking. Be ready. Stay ready. Cultivate the oil of intimacy.

May we regain the desire to go deeper with God and his purposes for our lives. He is really going to do a new thing in our lives.
