"...Look across all your positions and ask, is the percent next to every one of those company names where you think it should be?"
Now that we have established principles for managing our portfolio, we need to check in every 3 months for a quarterly review.
We can use the first 5 principles to guide us.
Here they are:
Make your portfolio reflect your best vision for our future.
Name its purpose and will there be new money coming in or out?
Schedule a time to review your portfolio and make sure your allocations are aligned with your principles.
"Put every stock at its right allocation."
When you are looking at your portfolio, focus on the percentage allocated to each business and ask a few questions.
Do you want to add to a position?
Has a position risen past your sleep number?
Is there a position that no longer meets the Rule Breaker framework?
The principles give us a lens to view our portfolio and serve as guardrails when making tough decisions.
That's a wrap!
We've covered Rule Breaker traits, habits, and principles. Don't forget to check out @RBIPodcast for weekly episodes from @DavidGFool
