In the case of photography ideas, if we don't provide AI with information such as our location, preferred photography genres, or available equipment, it's likely to suggest a range of ideas that don't align with those parameters.

I know, because I've done that.

So today, I attempted to devise a prompt that incorporated as many essential parameters as I deemed necessary to achieve my goal of generating photography carousel post ideas that would last me until the end of the year.

My Improved AI Prompt With More Specific Parameters

For this prompt, I incorporated the following parameters: the purpose, topics, photography genre preferences, general location, gear, software, audience, and goals. Here's how it went.

"I'm going to give you some parameters to create a content plan for photography carousel and single posts on Instagram. Please let me know when you're ready."

Topics: Photography genres, camera techniques, photography equipment, software, photo editing, photography tips, photography tutorials.

Preferred Genres: street photography, small town photography, rural photography, nature photography, fine art (abstract) photography, seasonal photography, and indoor photography.

Location: I'm located in Simcoe County, Ontario, so most of the topic ideas should be within that area or close to it. The more ideas closer to home, the better.

Gear: The gear I own includes a Canon Rebel 7, Canon SD1000, iPhone 16 Pro Max, together with a Canon 18-55mm lens and a 50mm lens.
