I was recently confronted with the question “what does home mean to you?".
What does home mean to me?
It’s a really great question and in theory it should be a very easy question to answer, similar to "where are you from?" However, for someone like me who until very recently answered the “where do you live question?” with “right here… at least this week” 🏡 I didn't see it as such a straight forward answer.
Instead of answering straight away, I said let me think about it, and I did think a lot about it, mainly when working out, I find it's when I do my best thinking.
What does home mean to me?
Surprise surprise, it’s not four walls and a roof, it’s a feeling! 💫
To me, home is somewhere I feel happy, confident and at ease, a somewhere I feel, well like me!
Considering this, home can be anywhere, well beyond the traditional four walls and a roof. The part of the concept that home is a feeling that I really love is, home can be many places, all at once.
Why limit yourself?
PS. for me, if there is delicious food, the sky is blue and there’s some kind of water mass nearby, my happiness levels are automatically elevated, making me feel more at home 💗
