Welcome to my Social Blog
A rant on the "The Scourge of Motivational Tweets On Twitter."
Everyone on Twitter hates Linkedin Poetry on how they motivated someone else. But Twitter has got an entire thing going on also.
These so-called Gurus make money and gain followers by entirely putting in motivational tweets. It could be any of the virtuous habits they have built up or any of the following. For eg
How to wake up early?
How to take charge of your life?
How I achieved an MRR of xxxxxxxxx
You can do it also, look here is how I did it.
Most of the gullible consumers and followers of these tweets don’t realise that such tweets can now be auto-generated. There are tools, which pull up all the viral tweets in a given period, say about 3 years back.
The tool which has now a built-in AI writer will then do all the paraphrasing for the motivational guru and auto schedule and then reschedule if the tweet is retweeted a certain time or liked by x number of people.
One of the reasons I see why these tweets do well is because of the loss of community. We no longer have close friends and advisors who can guide us in our careers.
Also, the world is changed/changing so fast that our elders and friends can no longer make sense of the complexity of making a living in these times. Hence the market for strangers who can pretend to be the all-knowing GURU” S, been there, done it.
Can we instead connect and become friends and advise people privately? How many of these MOTIVATIONAL GURUs are actually mentoring people on a 1:1 basis and developing a deep understanding of the mentee’s problems. Well, that wouldn’t scale, right?
END OF RANT! 😡
