
Self-awareness is key to growth. And sometimes, you need a brutally honest mirror to show you what’s holding you back.
Yesterday, I decided to put this to the test. I asked ChatGPT for an unfiltered reality check. I entered this as a prompt;
"Based on everything you know about me, roast me, and don't hold back. Say it in slang."
Let’s just say… it didn’t hold back. It was tough but eye-opening.
Sometimes, we think we’re making progress, but our habits, procrastination, or blind spots hold us back. A little dose of tough love; even from an AI, can shine a light on the things we already know but choose to ignore.
🔹 Awareness is the first step. We can’t change what we don’t acknowledge.
🔹 Self-reflection is powerful, but accountability is key. Recognizing patterns is one thing, breaking them is another.
🔹 External perspectives help. Whether it’s a mentor, a friend, or even AI, an outside lens can reveal what we overlook.
If you feel stuck, here’s a challenge:
What’s one habit you KNOW is holding you back? What’s a simple step you can take today to change it? What’s stopping you from actually doing it?
You can also use ChatGPT for structured self-improvement. Ask:
✅ “What are the top 3 things holding me back?”
✅ “How can I improve my productivity based on my habits?”
✅ “Help me create a simple daily/weekly plan for [goal]”
But don’t take AI too seriously. If you’re really struggling, seek guidance from a professional. AI can provide insights, but real change comes from action.
