What is the difference between the true value and fake value?
The value of life, according to Buddhism, is to develop a true heart, also known as the Buddha's heart.
Four qualities characterize this true heart: complete care, complete kindness, complete joy, and complete freedom, all exercised wisely.
This true value of life is in contrast to the fake value, which is rooted in personal desire and the three poison consciousness of greed, hate, and stupidity.
These personal desires bring suffering because they are based on greed, which makes one a slave to material possessions and leads to stress, acquisition, and fear of loss.
True value is understanding that everything is a changing illusion and that one cannot hold onto anything.
This understanding helps to develop wisdom and compassion, as it allows one to let go of personal emotions and suffering.
In contrast, fake value is limited to a narrow, personal view and places importance on temporary things.
True value is the opportunity to develop eternally, while fake value is limited to this life.
True value involves understanding the system of life and developing the four eternal hearts, while fake value involves the development of temporary things based on personal greed and ego.
True value is a sure will to escape illusion-being and reincarnation, while fake value is lost in illusion.
Finally, true value involves following the wisdom of Buddhism, exemplified by the Buddha, in all aspects of one's heart, thoughts, behaviour, attitude, actions, and being. Fake value is egoistical and not following this wisdom.
