Majority of first time startup founder jump right into the building the damn thing.
There are several problems with this. At the beginning you don’t know the direction to go. Just “an idea” isn’t a proper road map.
So before the software development part, validate your idea the proper way.
Benefits
End goal is to have a clearer picture of the sales funnel.
What are you selling. To whom. What is their biggest problem. And the biggest point of your App is: are you solving this problem @ their price point?
Essentially with a bit of cald calling, your validating your idea plus paving the way for your sales funnel down the road.
Starting tips
Cold calling isn’t a skill fond to many people.
But you can learn. Main point is to relax before the call. Once on the call, have a clear goal on what you want to ask/accomplish.
Takes a while, but it’s really easy.
Blueprint for success
Before you jump on your first call, have an “organizational” meeting with yourself.
Source and organize your list of contacts. Find your stride to successfully engage prospects. Pivot your idea according to the results.
Simple as that.
Bonus tips
Here are my personal tips before you begin.
Find your tribe, go to the (web)places where your prospects hang out. Make sure you’re talking with the right people (decision makers). Once you have a triple digit of interviewees, move to the next step in your startup journey.
Happy prospecting!
