Building a calm, focused life as a dad, doctor, and digital storyteller | Sharing systems for parenting, health, and storytelling
Most people stay stuck because of poor decisions.
We’re not taught how to choose wisely—so we react, drift, and settle for a life by default instead of a life by design.
Here’s a simple framework to fix that:
Go all in—or get all out.
If something doesn’t make you say “Hell yes!”—it’s a no.
This protects you from lukewarm commitments that drain energy.
More importantly, it keeps you from getting stuck in the wrong path.
But how do you know what’s worth going all in on?
One word: Freedom.
Go all in on the things that create freedom:
Spiritual freedom – staying self-aware in all circumstances
Social freedom – being generous in your relationships
Physical freedom – building a strong, vital body
Mental freedom – cultivating deep focus and clarity
Temporal freedom – mastering your time and attention
Financial freedom – creating value and earning leverage
Let freedom be your North Star. Everything else is noise.
Don’t settle for halfhearted.
Go all in—or get all out.
“If you're going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. It's the only good fight there is.” - Charles Bukowski
