Ever feel like you're in between who you were and who you're becoming?
Because that's exactly where I am.
This year I have 2 huge goals:
1. Become a parent.
2. Build something for myself.
These goals are messy, unpredictable, and focused on creation. Achieving them means I'll come out a different person on the other side.
A friend calls this a "Year of Goo." Like a caterpillar dissolving in its chrysalis before becoming a butterfly, it’s uncomfortable, a little weird, and a part of life. 🦋
How I’m Navigating My #YoG:
I don’t have many answers yet, but here’s what I’m doing:
Taking small steps. I carve out 30 minutes every day to create, learn, & try. Things like writing, building things with my husband, or even budgeting (it's my new passion).
Trusting the process. Embracing the uncertainty and believing that transformation will unfold as it’s meant to. (Trying to become a parent has challenged me in ways I didn't expect this past year.)
Staying curious. Approaching this year with curiosity about what I’m creating, who I’m becoming, and where achieving these goals will lead me.
Are You in Your Own Year of Goo?
If you’re navigating your own messy transformation, know you’re not alone. I’ll be sharing my journey along the way in the hopes I can help and learn with others.
What's your Year of Goo looking like? 🦋
