What does the Interview Process with German Software Companies normally look like? These are the 3-5 most typical stages:

1. an interview with HR to get to know you:
The usual questions are asked here: Why do you want to switch jobs, what's your tech stack. Interviewers in Germany also take their time to talk about the company and the open position.

2. (Sometimes) an Interview with an enginering manager:
I had several of those, they ask you about some technical experience, your previous role in general and also tell you a little bit more about the company and sometimes the project they are on.

3. A technical interview with a developer or a Tech Lead:
Most of these interviews were technical questions about previous projects, testing and React. Sometimes, there were more in-depth questions about Javascript, but nothing scary. I also once completed a coding task.

4. Most of the times, an interview with the team you are going to be working with
It's pretty cool that the team has the opportunity to get to know you before you get an offer. You can ask questions about their tech stack and do a vibe check.

5. (Sometimes) In case you get an offer, you could have a last meeting where you discuss salary, vacations and benefits and where any last questions are answered. Normally you are also given plenty of time to make your decision.

All in all, I didn't find the interview process to be very hard, but it takes patience to go through all the stages, since you have to calculate 1-2 weeks between each interview.
Does your experience differ? Let me know in the answers!
