The power of deadlines and build in public
Written by Guillaume Tessier

I finally did it!

I have been procrastinating for almost a year on a new service offer that I wanted to launch.

But to deliver the services, some of the steps required skills that I don't have.

In other words, delegate to someone with the skills.

But I'm a bit if a control freek. I must know how to do it before I even think of delegating.

Which resulted in many ideas never came to life unfortunately.

But that's a topic for another day.

Why I was able to finalize that offer today?

Because I have one of the best reasons in front of me: a meeting with a prospect!

I couldn't missed this opportunity.

As mentioned before, it required me to find solutions on steps that I don't have the skills for. And guess what I found a solution!

It's not perfect but the main objective is to test the offer on a real prospect.

I definitely need real feedback from potential buyers to keep moving!

That deadline obligated me to come up with something and overcome obstacles.

And tomorrow, that meeting with a prospect, sort of build in public mode, will give me the insights and feedback I need to improve the offer.

Really excited about that!

What about you? Any idea, project that is stuck?

How could you build the conditions to have a fixed deadline and receive relevant feedback?

Please share and I'll be happy to help!

Good luck! 🤞
