Passionate about documenting my journey as I chase fulfillment and success in life
How to apply basic copywriting techniques into sales/promo emails
So that you sell more shit & make more of an impact.
Prime examples from a sales letter written today
1/ Hook
Engage your audience...
Pique their interest...
Get them invested in reading it.
For the most recent consulting email I wrote my hook was
"[Name] I have some exciting news & I want you to be a part of it"
Understand the audience for this email.
Very warm.
Already strong relationship built.
2/ Story Set Up
This is a beta testing group for a new program.
We needed to share why this program started
Paraphrasing:
β’ People come to me asking for help with X
β’ I've noticed where they fall short
β’ I want more people to succeed in overcoming this
3/ Specific Problem
"People come to me asking for help with X"
In this case, it's addictions
Porn, alcohol, work, lust... etc.
The problem we are solving is addictions that hold men back from achieving a fulfilling life.
SPECIFIC
4/ Common Enemy
Most people only focus on 1 or 2 things
Not A, B, & C...
This is why they weren't seeing the success they wanted.
They had the right idea...
Just didn't know they were missing a few pieces.
This is why the program is valuable...
The missing link!
5/ Offer
Be a part of this first group
Get a steep discount...
Discounted course will give us good feedback.
We will iterate from the feedback that's provided.
6/ Blunder
Hindsight 20/20 my CTA should have been stronger.
This one wasn't as clear...
It wasn't super specific what they should do if they're interested....
This is email 1 of the promotion
So there's time to adjust accordingly.
Lessons still being learned
Take action to learn something
Take action to implement it
Learning is only good if you can apply it
Don't sleep on consistent action
