Tools Authors Should Be Using

If I told you there were free or affordable tools to help you publish your book, would you use them?

Stack your toolbelt to succeed

Many authors, mainly Indie Authors, know that expenses can quickly rack up when setting up your book for launch.

So, why not stack your own toolbelt to succeed?

  • Story Origin- I've only heard great things about this resource, mainly because it has helped so many authors build their mailing lists through newsletter swaps. (A swap is when you exchange newsletters with another author with a similar audience.) And...a standard plan only costs $10 a month.

  • Canva.com- With a pro plan costing only $9 a month, I have used this to create book trailers, promotions, social media banners, and better yet, my book covers! (Even my paperback covers.)

  • Reedsy.com- This is a free resource that you can write in, or put your book into after you've finished. You can even add prologues, an author's bio section, and clickable links to other works. But, what makes me the most excited about this, is that it can format your book for free. That's huge!

  • Grammarly- This does have a paid pro version of $25/ month, but I use the free version and find more mistakes than I would on my own. To me, that's a great tool!

    Don't slack, still be diligent

Despite having all these great tools I listed, be sure to check reviews and do your research before trying tools that are free or cheap.

As great as it all sounds, read the fine print and be sure it's helpful.
