I met with a B2B climate tech influencer — here are the 3 things he does each month to keep his content machine going

Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of the larger B2B climate influencers?

The best ones make it look easy to build an personal brand — but take a look under the hood, and you see the sheer amount of work and resources they've invested into building an online presence.

This is exactly the case with one of the a climate tech influencer I spoke to recently. He's a go-to authority in his niche, and is quite visible on LinkedIn.

While speaking with him, I was fascinated to see what goes on behind the scenes of his content machine.

1. Works with a content team

First off, he may look like a one-man operation, but this isn't the case.

Each month, this influencer works with multiple freelancers who support him in all kinds of tasks including:

  • research

  • graphic design

  • schedulign & publishing

And, he's always looking for ways to optimize his content operations further.

2. Posts 4-6 times per week on LinkedIn

Usually, he posts at least four times a week on LinkedIn. Sometimes, he posts five or six.

And they're great posts, too — often driving significant engagement and discussion.

Since social media algorithms prioritize creators who publish regularly, his posting consistency has clearly been a huge factor in his industry visibility.

3. Sends a monthly newsletter

Finally, this influencer has made it a priority to set up and send a monthly email newsletter.

That's because he knows that social platforms are fickle — more "rented" space than owned.
