Leadership is extremely important.

However, not all "types" of Leadership are important, good, or even necessary.

In 1995, it was determined that there were 850 "academic" definitions of Leadership, and no one has attempted to count how many more have been created since that time, let alone the "non-academic" definitions.

Most of those definitions don't serve a Purpose in the Modern world.

In a short time, one of those purposeless definitions of Leadership will be CEO.

Now, is this a "bold" statement?

I think it's a bit of an underrated statement if I'm going to be honest.

The Reality is that most CEOs are currently useless, have been for years, and are about to be completely replaced.

Replaced?

By what?

We will see AI replace CEOs here in the near Future.

Now, if you follow my work, I am generally not "kind" when it comes to AI.

Is it a useless Technology?

No.

But it lacks Understanding, Depth, Nuance, Creativity, and Innovation.

It isn't designed to do those kinds of things if we're going to be frank.

So why do I believe that AI will replace CEOs?

Well, you can just ask the CEOs themselves.

According to a Survey of 500 CEOs from edX, they discovered a few things.

49% of CEOs believe that "Most" or "ALL" of their job SHOULD be replaced by AI.

With this, 77% of CEOs say that AI is currently Disrupting their Business Strategy.

Now, you may think that perhaps I am underestimating how powerful AI is if CEOs say that it should replace them and is already Disrupting their Business Strategies.

I think this is completely backward from the Truth.

We aren't seeing these stats because AI is truly so amazing.

We are seeing these stats because CEOs are truly that worthless in today's world.

It's not even a stretch to believe this - we just have to look at the Return-To-Office Mandates to understand this.

Not only have the "Mandates" not worked and gone mostly ignored, even by the most "powerful" CEOs in the world, but they make NO sense no matter how you look at it.

The Research doesn't support the move, the economics don't support it, and the Science it is "theoretically" based on also doesn't support it.

There are rumors in the Research Circles that these "Mandates" are simply a way for Executives to pass the Blame for poor financial performance onto Employees who cannot defend themselves to Stockholders.

That rumor makes SIGNIFICANTLY more sense than any other reason that I have seen presented.

If you think of what CEOs do today it not only makes sense but also helps explain why CEOs will be replaced by AI.

Are CEOs Innovating and Creating the Future?

Usually no.

Most of the top Organizations simply purchase truly Innovative and Creative companies or technology.

You could say that is all Microsoft recently did with OpenAI technology.

In some cases, large Organizations simply attempt to Steal that type of Technology from other smaller companies.

We could see that with Amazon's (failed) Halo band which hilariously wanted users to take near-naked pictures of themselves and told women misogynistic things about the tone of their voice - an attempt to Steal technology from WHOOP Bands.

Or we could also see this with the Import Bans that have been happening with Apple Watches after the ITC ruled that the Pulse Oximeter technology violated a patent from Masimo.

Are CEOs making the workplace a better place for Employees?

No, that isn't true either.

If we look at the stats around it, we can see this isn't true.

There is a very clear Trust problem that has been ongoing for years, long before 2020.

The Return-To-Office Mandates have only increased Active Disengagement and Quiet Quitting which were already problematic.

We also know that Training and Development is going horribly.

Instead of trying to figure out what Employees need to Succeed, CEOs are opting for "Etiquette" classes which will be money wasted.

Plus, Employees WANT good training and are more than happy to leave Employers who won't provide it.

According to the mentioned edX Survey, nearly 40% of Employees are planning to quit their jobs in search of better Learning Opportunities.

Are CEOs making their products and services better for their Customers?

This also seems to not be true.

If we look at the Streaming Industry, customers have been so unhappy that there has been a GIGANTIC increase in Piracy.

We also look at many Technologies and we can see that instead of making products that Improve the lives of Customers, they are relying on Addiction to keep people glued to devices.

This has been a known issue with Apps and Minors which political agencies are starting to take action on for going too far.

We also know that there are plans to use Casino Psychology to keep people glued and addicted to VR Technologies.

With customers struggling more and more to simply have a roof over their heads and pay for groceries, more companies are turning to Addiction to keep money flowing in.

So, we can see that from just about every front CEOs are not making their companies more Innovative, or better for their Employees or Customers.

So, what is a CEO doing?

They mostly look at financials, and make decisions solely based on data to make the Financials "appear" good in the short-term to make Investors happy.

That's the Reality.

We are seeing that this Strategy doesn't work in the long run though which is why CEOs are struggling to keep their jobs.

The Median CEO tenure is less than 5 years today, which is significantly lower than it was 10 years ago.

Mainly because it is more difficult to hide the Truth of their inability to make real Impacts on their Organizations.

Then, when we look at what AI is AMAZING at, do you know what it is?

Looking at large amounts of Data, quickly, and giving assessments of the fastest Solutions based on that Data.

That is all a CEO is doing in today's world.

Here's what I believe.

If an AI can do most or all of your job and can replace your current Strategy, then CEOs SHOULD lose their jobs!

If an AI can replace your Strategy, the reality is that you're not doing anything to help the Organization.

Your Strategy is stale and futile, antiquated and it is only a matter of time before your Organization is decimated by the Future.

The Truth is that an AI is ABSOLUTELY better at looking at Data quickly and making short-term decisions based on that Data than Humans.

So let the position of CEO become extinct.

Let them be replaced with a Chief Executive AI, a CEAI.

If that is how your Organization wants to operate, then it makes the most logical sense.

A CEAI would be vastly better and faster at the role than a CEO, and it would be SIGNIFICANTLY Cheaper.

Why would you pay 6, 7, or MORE Figures for an overpriced "CEO" who won't get your Results when you could get a better CEAI thing for 5 figures or less?

Here's to the Death of the CEO!

All hail the rise of the CEAI!

But...

If you've followed my work for any period of time you'll know that this isn't the end of the story.

Why?

Even if we rightly get rid of the useless CEO position and replace it with a CEAI, we haven't fixed any of the Problems that we are seeing in the world of Business.

Let's say that we move forward with simply following a CEAI, the Result will simply be an Exacerbation of the Problems we have.

As I said before, AI lacks Understanding, Depth, Nuance, Creativity, and Innovation.

You can "teach" an AI to do everything the CEO does right now, but it will have all of the same Flaws and Problems that current CEOs face.

We will find that the CEAI will have all the same Emergent Problems we already see in Organizations.

However, they will also be made WORSE because AI can do it SO much faster than Humans.

That is also making a GIGANTIC assumption that the AI doesn't destroy itself in the process, as we have seen that AI's largest problem is Itself.

Then, we look at what organizations say is NEEDED to Succeed in the Future.

The "buzzwords" have been Creativity and Innovation, plus some alternative words meaning the same thing, as well as Emotional Intelligence.

AI is not designed to do any of that, and making AI the Leader of your Organization, having a CEAI, will not solve that problem.

I'm not saying that AI isn't useful, it just isn't useful for the True Creativity, Innovation, and Emotional Intelligence that Organizations KNOW they need to remain relevant in the Future.

What Organizations need are Leaders that Design a Regenerative Legacy.

See, People are the key to True Creativity and Innovation, but to unlock these, we need to understand Human Psychophysiology.

If we look at the Business Environment, Employees are not set up to Succeed.

The modern workplace is not conducive to Human Productivity, Wellbeing, Creativity, or Innovation.

Even if we replaced Employees with AI and Robots, we wouldn't fix the problems that Organizations are facing.

We might see "some" increases in Productivity and lowered Costs at best, similar to what we saw with the Industrial Revolution, but we wouldn't see what Organizations lack today.

Understanding of Humans.

Both the Employees they have and the Customers they are supposed to serve.

Even if you fill your Organization with Robots and AI, you still need Humans to make these technologies work well.

Even if you fill your Organization with Robots and AI, you will still have a workforce in Burnout which might become Exacerbated by the Speed of Technology.

Even if you fill your Organization with Robots and AI, you still need a Product and Service that people want and aren't just "waiting" for the next best alternative.

The Reality is that you need to deal with Humans whether you like it or not.

If your Employees all Quit or decide to leave, as about 40% are already thinking (and I personally believe that is a VERY low estimate), you won't be able to use the Robots and AI Effectively.

If your Customers deem that your products and services aren't Important to their lives, they will quickly abandon them.

Most companies that "believe" they are "customer staples" in Reality are just one better competitor away from being deemed Irrelevant.

When we add AI into the mix, these companies will simply be made Irrelevant more quickly.

To combat this, we need Leaders who truly Understand Humans - both the Humans that work for the Organization, and the Humans they serve.

This is where Designing a Regenerative Legacy becomes necessary.

Employees need to be able to get to Flow States where they naturally find the highest levels of Productivity, Creativity, and Innovation.

But to get there, they need Leaders who understand how Flow States can be created, and what can get in the way of them.

At the top of this list is Burnout, which Leaders have only been making worse given that 80% of people are in it (and more are not far from it).

Plus, when you fix the Burnout and you understand Employee Psychophysiology, you can dramatically improve Emotional Intelligence without needing special classes due to how VQ works.

VQ has been shown to Improve both IQ and EQ!

If you understand the People, you fix the Problems.

Then, Leaders need to understand what real problems their Customers are facing and figure out ways to aid their Customers with the Products and Services they have.

It isn't even necessarily that the Products and Services "directly" affect what the Customers need, it can be done Indirectly.

Finally, Leaders need to Create Long-Term Solutions.

The Short-Term Designs of Business today are making horrible Short-Term mistakes that are both decimating productivity and profit while also being easily fixable.

But as long as Businesses and Organizations continue to drain Employees and Customers of everything for Short-Term and Short-Sighted Goals, it is only a matter of time before there is nothing left to drain, and everything comes crumbling down with Higher Goals becoming unreachable.

You could say that we need Chief Regenerative Design Officers, a CRDO.

In effect, they would need to take the information that is obtained from the CEAI and then direct it toward a Regenerative Legacy.

The time of CEOs may be over, but it is not a bad thing.

It is time for a new type of Leader to rise.

A CRDO, who Designs a Regenerative Legacy.
