Over the past 3 years, I have read many books on self-sabotaging behaviours.
And while I enjoyed many of those books, and learned a lot, there is a book I'm reading now that I can say truly had a life-changing impact on me:
The Master Guides: Rewire Your Subconscious For Lasting Change by a Compilation of Authors:
Self-help guru Tony Robbins, journalist Charles Duhigg, best-selling author James Clear, holistic psychologist Nicole LePera, and developmental biologist Bruce Lipton.
Some of my biggest takeaways:
Understanding why we engage in our current habits
What makes it difficult to change them no matter how hard we try
How goals will not curb the subconscious mind's threat/safety protocols
How to overcome the subconscious mind's resistance to change
Modalities to overcome bad habits and adapt new ones
(Of course, the book goes into detail on all of this. But these are my high-level takeaways.)
So, if you are at all interested in Overcoming Your Own Self Sabotage Behaviours, I highly suggest keeping a copy of The Master Guides: Rewire Your Subconscious For Lasting Change. You can find it here:
