3 questions every investor should ask to mitigate risk before purchasing an asset.
If I could go back in time, I would apply this principle to all my financial asset purchases (I would've kept more of what I earned).
Specifically, I would ask these 3 questions:
1. Will the asset's value be there when I need it?
2. What are the chances of the asset value going to zero?
3. What are the chances of the asset value decreasing at all?
There isn't necessarily a right or wrong answer to these questions.
You must decide how the asset will fit into your overall strategy and vision for what you want wealth to do in your life.
What am I missing?
How do you mitigate risk when choosing financial assets?
