Have you ever thought that creating the life of your dreams was a never-ending process with little to no payoff? It's tempting to look at the facts and conclude that nothing is changing, but what if the apparent lack of change was a test?
What if going through dry spells helped you develop the character you needed to get ready for your breakthrough? Building a legacy is not glamorous in this quick gratification era. People are more drawn to what is popular than to things that have taken time and effort to establish.
I've learned that it takes perseverance on days when it seems like nothing is moving forward for me to have my next breakthrough moments. In order to be eligible for your mountain peak celebration, you must first complete the valley season. Unless you have long term vision that can pull you forward - the three deadly D’s will derail your destiny.
1.Distraction
It's tempting to become side-tracked. They have a pulling force that draws away on what you are supposed to be focused on. If your desire to focus isn’t greater than your distraction then - your time and effort building your dream life will be diminished.
2.Discouragement
One of the most important instruments for moving with purpose is courage. When you lose the ability to go forward and become disheartened, you become a victim of stagnation.
3. Demotivation
What you are distracted and discouraged for too long, the resistance creeps in and makes you more and more demotivated. A demotivated person is a demoralised people. Your motive or will or build has been crush to the point of hopelessness.
So on days that you feel like nothing is moving remember this; It’s coming together. Piece by piece. Stay persistent.
