Here are three topics I've been thinking about lately:

#1: Embracing Difficult Conversations

While they may not be fun, having difficult conversations can drastically improve our relationships. Addressing the "elephant in the room" can lead to breakthroughs, whether with a team member, friend, or significant other. The older I get, the easier it has become to talk about everything that needs to be said, even when it doesn't feel great.

#2: Why Leaders Need Poetry

I got super interested in poetry a few years ago while being cooped up at home during the pandemic.

I met some incredible poets on Clubhouse, a social audio app, and learned more about this beautiful art form. Sure, I read poetry in school, but this group introduced me to a new and magical way of experiencing it. It wasn't about rules or getting things right. It was about self-expression, emotions, and connecting with ourselves and each other.

Since then, I've taken workshops and explored the impact and benefits of poetry. Now, I'm convinced everyone would grow personally and professionally by simply reading and even writing poetry.

#3: Decision-Making Process

I've also been thinking about how the best leaders in the world make decisions. From what book to read next to completely changing your business model, we make small and big decisions every day.

I like to believe that we make the best decisions for ourselves with the information we have at the time. It's interesting to hear from others about their decision-making process and how I may be able to incorporate their strategies.
