When most people start a new thing, they often worry about failing publicly, but this is an essential part of growing.
Human nature is against negative feelings. So when you want to start a new hobby, business, or project, there's a voice in your head that says, "but what if I fail?" This stops most people from trying at all.
What do you want to start:
A photography business
A blog or newsletter
A YouTube channel
Acting in public provides the skills neccessary for growth.
Every single successful person has failed publicly. And the lessons they learned from that failure fuled them to success.
We all know the stories: Oprah, Steve Jobs, even Gary Vaynerchuk. Not only did each one of them fail, they failed big. Oprah was fired as a reporter. Steve Jobs was fired from Apple. Gary Vee left a budding YouTube channel for its competitor Viddler.
Understanding how to learn from failure will ascend your efforts to success.
Think Lessons, not losses
Whenever something doesn't go they way you envision and you "fail", try to turn that loss into a lesson.
When you make this mindset shift, you'll start connecting the dots of why things aren't working.
The Internet is primed to only show success. Showing failure is the best way to grow.
If you can leverage building AND failing in public growth is inevitable.
As humans, we are drawn to authentic stories. Those stories mean more when we watch someone pick themselves back up because it paints the picture that we can do it too.
