How do I sign in to an account I already have?
Use the same page as signing up: typeshare.co/2/signup. It says "Sign in or create an account", so the same buttons work for new and existing accounts.
Choose the same method you used before (Google, X, LinkedIn or email). If you open a Typeshare page while signed out, the sign-up page appears first, and after signing in you go back to the page you were trying to open.
Old links to /agents/signup still work. They forward to /2/signup.
How does signing in with email work?
- On the sign-up page, type your email in the box and click Continue with email.
- The page changes to Check your inbox and shows the address the link went to.
- Open the email and click the sign-in link. You can open it on any device.
There is no password. Each time you sign in with email, Typeshare sends a new link.
Typed the wrong address? Click Use a different email on the "Check your inbox" screen and try again.
If you see "Sending the e-mail with the verification token failed. Please try again.", the email could not be sent. Wait a moment and click Continue with email again. If it keeps failing, use Google, X or LinkedIn instead, or email help@typeshare.co.
What does "the email address is tied to another authentication method" mean?
The full message is "It appears the email address is tied to another authentication method. Please try one of the other sign in options."
It means an account already exists with that email, but it was created with a different sign-in method. For example, you signed up with email and are now trying Continue with Google.
Fix: go back to typeshare.co/2/signup and sign in the way you did originally. Once you are in, you can add Google as a second way to sign in from Settings > General > Google login > Connect Google.
What is the "Set up your profile" step?
Right after you sign up for the first time, Typeshare asks you to Set up your profile. It appears only once.
- Name: required.
- Username: required. Lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens only, up to 30 characters. It becomes your public profile address,
typeshare.co/yourname. - Photo: optional. Click the round picture to choose one. Without a photo, a colored gradient based on your name is used.
Click Continue to move on. If you see "That username is taken. Try another.", pick a different username.
You can change all of these later in Settings > Profile.
What happens after the profile step?
After Set up your profile, you choose a plan. (Plans, prices and trials are covered in the Billing help.)
Once your plan is set up, you see a welcome screen with a Continue to Typeshare button. That takes you to the Getting started page (typeshare.co/2/getting-started), a checklist of four steps: Connect your platforms, Build your Digital Brain, Publish your first post and Explore and hire an agent. You can leave at any time and come back later from the Finish your setup card in the sidebar. See the Getting started page help for each step.
I came from a Ship 30 for 30 link. What's different?
If you open the sign-up page from a Ship 30 for 30 link, a banner at the top says: "As a Ship 30 for 30 member, you get a free 5-week trial of Typeshare! Sign up to get started."
Sign up as normal. The offer stays with you through the profile and plan steps, so the longer trial is applied when you choose your plan. (See the Billing help for more on trials.)
I came from an AIWS link. What's different?
An AIWS link (typeshare.co/aiws) works exactly like a Ship 30 for 30 link: the same free 5-week trial and the same Ship 30 template pack. The banner at the top of the sign-up page shows the AIWS logo and says: "As an AIWS member, you get a free 5-week trial of Typeshare! Sign up to get started." Instead of a Ship 30 cohort, it adds you to the AIWS group. On the plan page, the extras are listed under AIWS bonuses.
I already have an account. What happens if I open a Ship 30 link?
You skip sign-up. Typeshare adds you to your Ship 30 cohort (or the AIWS group, for an AIWS link) and adds the Ship 30 template pack to your templates, then takes you to the plan page:
- No plan yet: you see the Ship 30 offer. The free 5-week trial is included only if you have never had a Typeshare trial; the template pack is included either way.
- Already on All-Access: you go straight into the app.
- On another plan: you see the usual upgrade options for your plan.
Something went wrong while signing up. What should I do?
- "Something went wrong. Please try again.": try the same button again. If it keeps happening, try another sign-in method.
- "Signing in with the authentication provider failed.": Google, X or LinkedIn did not finish the sign-in. Try again, and make sure you approve access on their screen.
- Never got the email link: check spam and promotions folders, then use Use a different email to send it again.
If none of that works, email help@typeshare.co with the method you used and what you saw.
Still stuck? Ask Ty, bottom right. Or email help@typeshare.co.
