How do I write and schedule X threads?
Typeshare has a thread editor for X, Threads and Bluesky: write the whole thread in one place, see each post's character count, add images to any post, and publish now or schedule. The same thread can go to LinkedIn and Substack Notes as a single post.

How do I write a thread?
Open a post on the Write page with X (or Threads or Bluesky) switched on, then:
- Press ⌘ Enter (Mac) or Ctrl Enter (Windows) to start the next post.
- Or press Enter on an empty line at the end of a post to start a new one.
- Click the + in a post's toolbar to add an empty post below it.
- Press Backspace at the very start of a post to merge it into the one above.
Each post in the thread has its own character count: 280 on X (4,000 with X Premium), 500 on Threads and 300 on Bluesky.
Can I schedule a thread?
Yes. Click Add to Queue to take the next free time in your X queue, or choose Schedule for later to pick a day and time. You can edit a scheduled thread until it goes out.
Can I add images or video to a thread?
Yes. Each post in the thread can have its own images or video. You can also drag or paste images straight into a post.
How does a thread look on LinkedIn?
Switch on LinkedIn too and the same thread goes out there as one post, with a blank line where each separate post was. Substack Notes work the same way. Turn off Sync edits to write a different version for LinkedIn (see Can I post to X and LinkedIn at the same time?).
Can I write long posts on X instead?
Yes. With X Premium, a single post can be up to 4,000 characters. For longer pieces, the Long Form editor publishes an X Article (X Premium needed), and can send the same piece to Substack and your Typeshare profile at the same time.
Can AI turn my writing into threads?
On the All-Access plan, the X Agent turns your own writing (your past posts, newsletters and notes in your Digital Brain, or a link you share) into X posts and threads. It fills your X queue on the days and times you chose and publishes on schedule. It never invents stories, numbers or opinions, and in Pilot mode nothing goes out until you approve it.
Are there thread templates?
Yes. The Templates library has ready-made outlines for posts and threads, LinkedIn posts and Atomic Essays: a proven structure with blanks to fill in, so you never start from an empty page. You can also save any of your own posts as a template.

Where can I publish with Typeshare?
Typeshare publishes to X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky and Substack (Notes and newsletters), plus your own Typeshare profile. You write once, choose the platforms, and post now or schedule. Instagram is coming next.
Can I post to X and LinkedIn at the same time?
Yes. In Typeshare you write a post once, switch on X, LinkedIn and any other platform you use (Threads, Bluesky, Substack Notes), and publish or schedule it to all of them in one go. Each platform keeps its own character limit and formatting, and you can write a different version for any of them.
How do I schedule Substack Notes?
Typeshare schedules and publishes Substack Notes, one at a time or as a regular queue, alongside your posts for X, LinkedIn, Threads and Bluesky. It also publishes and schedules full Substack newsletters. Substack connects through the free Typeshare Connector extension for Chrome.
Does Typeshare write in my own voice?
Yes, because Typeshare's AI only uses your own writing. Your Digital Brain collects everything you've written (your X, LinkedIn, Threads and Substack posts, your blog, your notes), and Typeshare's agents turn that into new posts. They never invent stories, numbers or opinions, and every post shows the passages it came from.
What is an Atomic Essay, and how do I write one?
An Atomic Essay is a short essay of up to 400 words, about one idea, published as a single shareable image. The format comes from Ship 30 for 30, the writing course by Dickie Bush and Nicolas Cole, the founders of Typeshare. Typeshare has an Atomic Essay editor that lays your essay out as an image and publishes it to X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Substack Notes and your Typeshare profile.
How do I turn my newsletter into LinkedIn posts and tweets?
Import your newsletter into your Digital Brain (from Substack, or from your website or blog), and Typeshare's agents turn it into X posts and threads, LinkedIn posts, Threads posts and Substack Notes, using only your own words. You can also share one issue's link with an agent, or remix an old piece into a new draft yourself.
