Can I post to X and LinkedIn at the same time?
Yes. In Typeshare you write a post once, switch on X, LinkedIn and any other platform you use (Threads, Bluesky, Substack Notes), and publish or schedule it to all of them in one go. Each platform keeps its own character limit and formatting, and you can write a different version for any of them.

How do I post to X and LinkedIn at once?
- Connect X and LinkedIn in Settings > Channels (see Connecting your social accounts).
- Open the Write page and start a post.
- At the top of the editor, click ··· (Choose platforms) and switch on X and LinkedIn (and any others).
- Write the post.
- Click Post now, Add to Queue (the next free time on each platform) or Schedule for later (a day and time you pick).
To start every new post with the same platforms, click Save as default platforms in the platforms window.
Can I write a different version for LinkedIn?
Yes. Edits sync across platforms by default, so typing changes every platform at once. To change one platform only:
- Click that platform's tile at the top of the editor.
- Turn off Sync edits.
- Edit. Only that platform changes, and its tile shows a Custom badge.
Each platform's version keeps its own images too. Turn Sync edits back on to go back to the shared text.
What happens to a thread on LinkedIn?
On X, Threads and Bluesky a thread goes out as a chain of posts. LinkedIn and Substack Notes publish the same thread as one post, with a blank line where each separate post was. The editor shows each platform the way it will look. See How do I write and schedule X threads?.
What are the character limits?
- X: 280 characters, or 4,000 with X Premium
- LinkedIn: 3,000
- Threads: 500
- Bluesky: 300
- Substack Note: 4,000
A ring next to each post shows the count and turns red past the limit. If a post is too long for one platform, the editor tells you what to fix before it publishes.
Can I post to X, LinkedIn and Substack at the same time?
Can someone else, or an AI, post to both for me?
On the All-Access plan, the X Agent and LinkedIn Agent each turn your own writing into posts for their platform and publish on your schedule. An agent's post can also go out on your other platforms. In Pilot mode nothing is published until you approve it.
What does it cost?
Posting to every platform is included in Basic ($19/month). Agents are in All-Access ($49/month). Both start with a 2-week free trial. See pricing.

More in What Typeshare does
Where can I publish with Typeshare?
Typeshare publishes to X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky and Substack (Notes and newsletters), plus your own Typeshare profile. You write once, choose the platforms, and post now or schedule. Instagram is coming next.
How do I schedule Substack Notes?
Typeshare schedules and publishes Substack Notes, one at a time or as a regular queue, alongside your posts for X, LinkedIn, Threads and Bluesky. It also publishes and schedules full Substack newsletters. Substack connects through the free Typeshare Connector extension for Chrome.
How do I write and schedule X threads?
Typeshare has a thread editor for X, Threads and Bluesky: write the whole thread in one place, see each post's character count, add images to any post, and publish now or schedule. The same thread can go to LinkedIn and Substack Notes as a single post.
Does Typeshare write in my own voice?
Yes, because Typeshare's AI only uses your own writing. Your Digital Brain collects everything you've written (your X, LinkedIn, Threads and Substack posts, your blog, your notes), and Typeshare's agents turn that into new posts. They never invent stories, numbers or opinions, and every post shows the passages it came from.
What is an Atomic Essay, and how do I write one?
An Atomic Essay is a short essay of up to 400 words, about one idea, published as a single shareable image. The format comes from Ship 30 for 30, the writing course by Dickie Bush and Nicolas Cole, the founders of Typeshare. Typeshare has an Atomic Essay editor that lays your essay out as an image and publishes it to X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Substack Notes and your Typeshare profile.
How do I turn my newsletter into LinkedIn posts and tweets?
Import your newsletter into your Digital Brain (from Substack, or from your website or blog), and Typeshare's agents turn it into X posts and threads, LinkedIn posts, Threads posts and Substack Notes, using only your own words. You can also share one issue's link with an agent, or remix an old piece into a new draft yourself.
Try it for yourself.
