How do I publish X Articles?
Write the piece in Typeshare's Long Form editor, open Preview & Publish, and switch on X: it goes out as an X Article, and can go to Substack and your Typeshare profile at the same time. X only lets accounts with X Premium publish Articles, and Article titles can be up to 100 characters.

How do I publish an X Article?
- Connect X in Settings > Channels (see Connecting your social accounts).
- On the Write page, click Long Form and write the title and the piece.
- Click Preview & Publish at the top right. Click ··· (Long form platforms) and switch X on.
- Click the X Article tile above the preview to see the piece as X shows it. Desktop / Phone switches between a computer and a phone view.
- Click Continue, then choose Post now, Schedule (pick a time) or Add to queue (the next open time in your Long Form queue), and confirm.
Once it's out, the Published bar has a View on X Article link.
How long can the title be?
Up to 100 characters. With X on and a longer title, nothing can be published: the X tile is greyed out and Typeshare tells you how long the title is. Shorten it, or switch X off to publish everywhere else. Typeshare checks this before asking X, so a long title never uses up one of your Articles for the day.
Can I add a cover?
Yes. In Preview & Publish, open Covers. Each platform gets its own cover in its own shape: 5:2 for an X Article, 3:2 for Substack. Click Add to Upload an image, Choose from Media or Generate using Designer (see Designer). When you pick a Designer cover, it's redrawn for X's 5:2 header. X Articles have no subtitle.
Can I publish to Substack and X at the same time?
Yes. Switch on both in Long form platforms. Substack and X go first, and the piece goes up on your Typeshare profile once they're out. On Substack (see How do I schedule Substack Notes?) you still choose whether it's emailed to subscribers, whether it's for paid subscribers only, and its tags. Substack-only blocks, like Paywall or Subscribe button, are left out of the X Article.
To put a part on one platform only, type / and choose Only on X (or Only on Substack, Only on Typeshare).
Is there a limit on how many Articles I can post?
X lets each account publish 5 Articles a day, and start 10. Every try counts, including tries X refused. Once they're used, the piece waits as a draft on Typeshare until you can publish again (Substack still gets it).
Can I edit an Article after it's published?
You can edit the Typeshare page, but the copy already sent to X doesn't change. Edit it on X if you need to.

Where can I publish with Typeshare?
Typeshare publishes to X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky and Substack (Notes and newsletters), plus your own Typeshare profile. You write once, choose the platforms, and post now or schedule. Instagram is coming next.
Can I post to X and LinkedIn at the same time?
Yes. In Typeshare you write a post once, switch on X, LinkedIn and any other platform you use (Threads, Bluesky, Substack Notes), and publish or schedule it to all of them in one go. Each platform keeps its own character limit and formatting, and you can write a different version for any of them.
How do I schedule Substack Notes?
Typeshare schedules and publishes Substack Notes, one at a time or as a regular queue, alongside your posts for X, LinkedIn, Threads and Bluesky. It also publishes and schedules full Substack newsletters. Substack connects through the free Typeshare Connector extension for Chrome.
How do I write and schedule X threads?
Typeshare has a thread editor for X, Threads and Bluesky: write the whole thread in one place, see each post's character count, add images to any post, and publish now or schedule. The same thread can go to LinkedIn and Substack Notes as a single post.
Does Typeshare write in my own voice?
Yes, because Typeshare's AI only uses your own writing. Your Digital Brain collects everything you've written (your X, LinkedIn, Threads and Substack posts, your blog, your notes), and Typeshare's agents turn that into new posts. They never invent stories, numbers or opinions, and every post shows the passages it came from.
What is an Atomic Essay, and how do I write one?
An Atomic Essay is a short essay of up to 400 words, about one idea, published as a single shareable image. The format comes from Ship 30 for 30, the writing course by Dickie Bush and Nicolas Cole, the founders of Typeshare. Typeshare has an Atomic Essay editor that lays your essay out as an image and publishes it to X, LinkedIn, Threads, Bluesky, Substack Notes and your Typeshare profile.
