How do I cancel my Typeshare plan?

  1. Click your name at the bottom of the left sidebar and choose Settings.
  2. Open Billing.
  3. Click Cancel subscription.
  4. If you're on All-Access, you'll first see "All-Access no longer for you?". Choose Cancel my plan to continue cancelling (or one of the other options, see below).
  5. Pick the reason you're cancelling under "Why are you cancelling?" and click Continue.
  6. Add a few words in More details and click Continue. Details are required; they help us improve Typeshare.
  7. You may be shown an offer that fits your reason. Click No thanks, cancel to skip it.
  8. Click Confirm cancellation (or Cancel my trial on a trial).

You'll see "Your subscription is cancelled. You'll keep access until …" with the date your access ends.

At any step you can click Keep my plan or Back to stop without cancelling.

How do I cancel my free trial?

Cancelling a trial works the same way as cancelling a plan: Settings > Billing > Cancel subscription, then follow the steps.

On the last step, "Cancel your free trial?", click Cancel my trial. You keep full access until your trial ends, and you won't be charged.

If you change your mind before the trial ends, click Resume my trial on the banner at the top of Typeshare.

Can I downgrade to Basic instead of cancelling All-Access?

Yes. When you cancel All-Access, the first screen ("All-Access no longer for you?") offers three choices:

  • Downgrade to Basic: keep your Digital Brain, writing, scheduling, publishing, templates and visual posts for $19/month (or $190/year), without agents.
  • Cancel my plan: stop paying and lose access.
  • Keep All-Access: nothing changes.

If you choose Downgrade to Basic, review the change and click Confirm downgrade:

  • On a paid plan, you keep All-Access until the end of the current billing period, then your plan renews as Basic.
  • On a trial, your agents stop and your trial carries on as Basic. Nothing is charged today.

You can also downgrade any time from the plan cards in Settings > Billing.

What offers will I see when I cancel?

After you give your reason and details, Typeshare may offer one thing that fits your reason:

  • Pause for 2 months ("Take a break instead?"): shown if you're taking a break or not writing online anymore. You won't be charged for 2 months and Typeshare is paused until then (see "What happens while my plan is paused?"). Your plan picks up again after the pause.
  • 50% off for 3 months ("Stay for 50% off?"): shown for most other reasons. Your next 3 months are half price.
  • Let us fix it first: shown if you ran into technical issues. Your details go to our support team, who email you back (most bugs are fixed in under an hour). Check the email address under "We'll reply to", then click Send to support. Your plan stays as it is.

To take an offer, click Pause for 2 months, Claim 50% off, or Send to support. To skip it, click No thanks, cancel.

The pause and the discount are only for monthly billing, and each can be used once per subscription. If neither is available, you go straight to the final confirmation.

What happens after I cancel?

  • You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for (or until your trial ends). The confirmation tells you the exact date.
  • You won't be charged again.
  • A banner at the top of Typeshare shows when your plan ends, with a Keep my plan button (or Resume my trial) in case you change your mind.
  • We email you a week before your access ends and again the day before ("Your Typeshare access ends …"), with what you've built and an orange Click here to keep access to Typeshare button. It opens Settings > Billing and asks "Reactivate Typeshare?". A day after your access ends, one last email ("Your Digital Brain is still here") says everything you made is saved. If you cancel inside one of those windows (for example the day before), that email is skipped.

When the date passes, you lose access to your Digital Brain, writing, scheduling and publishing, templates and visual posts, and (on All-Access) your agents, routines, chats and channels. Typeshare then shows the upgrade page, where you can pick a plan again.

Cancelling doesn't delete your account. Deleting your account is a separate step (see the account settings doc).

What if I cancel while a payment has failed?

If your last payment failed and you cancel, your plan ends right away instead of at the end of the period, because that period hasn't been paid for. We cancel the unpaid invoice, so you won't be charged.

You'll see "Your plan is cancelled. Your unpaid invoice was cancelled too." and Typeshare takes you to the upgrade page.

If you'd rather keep your plan, pay the invoice instead: click Pay invoice on the red banner or in Settings > Billing.

How do I undo a cancellation?

As long as your access hasn't ended yet:

  • Click Keep my plan (or Resume my trial) on the banner at the top of Typeshare, or
  • Open Settings > Billing and click Reactivate plan.

Your plan carries on and renews as normal.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

Cancelling stops future payments; it doesn't refund past ones. For refund questions, contact support from Help & feedback in the account menu (click your name at the bottom of the sidebar).

What happens while my plan is paused?

A pause starts when the period you've already paid for ends, so you keep full access until then. A banner at the top of Typeshare says when the pause starts, with a Cancel pause button: cancelling it then charges nothing, and your plan renews as usual.

While your plan is paused you can't use Typeshare: opening it shows "Your plan is paused" with the date it comes back. You're not charged, and nothing is lost: your posts, Digital Brain, agents and settings are all kept. Agent routines stop while you're paused and start again when you unpause.

To come back early, click Unpause & Access Typeshare and confirm Pay … and access Typeshare. You're charged your plan's price that day, your plan renews monthly from that day, and everything is back exactly as you left it. If your card is declined, your plan stays paused: update your card in Manage billing, then try again.

Otherwise billing starts again on its own when the pause ends, and so does your access.

This is for Basic and All-Access plans. A classic Typeshare plan (Pro, Creator, Expert, Premier) that's paused keeps working as before.
