Where is my social blog?
Your social blog is your public Typeshare profile. When Typeshare (or Ship 30) talks about your "social blog", it means the page at typeshare.co/yourusername. There is nothing separate to create or set up: every account has one, and the posts you publish from Typeshare show up on it.
- Open it: click Profile in the left sidebar (on a phone, tap the Profile tile on the home screen).
- Set it up: click Edit Profile on it, or go to Settings > Profile, to add your name, photo, bio and links.
- Fill it: publish posts from Typeshare. To also show posts you published directly on X, LinkedIn or Threads, or posts your agents publish, turn on Show imported posts or Show agent posts under Settings > Profile > On your profile.
What counts toward my writing streak?
Your streak is the number of days in a row you have published at least one post through Typeshare. Both of these count:
- Posts you publish yourself from the editor
- Posts your agents publish for you on X, LinkedIn or Substack, even when Show agent posts is off and they are hidden from your profile
Drafts and posts still waiting for your approval don't count until they are published. Editing a post you already published doesn't add a new day.
Your streak uses whichever timezone gives you the longest run, so posting late at night or early in the morning won't break it. Miss a full day without publishing and it goes back to 0.
How do I open my public profile?
- Computer: click Profile in the left sidebar.
- Phone: tap the Profile tile on the home screen, or tap your picture and then your name at the top of the account screen.
Your profile opens inside Typeshare with the sidebar still showing. The address is your public one, typeshare.co/yourusername, so you can copy it from the address bar and share it.
How do I edit what is on my public profile?
Click Edit Profile on your profile page, or go to Settings > Profile. There you can change:
- Name, Username and photo (click Save)
- Bio (click Save bio)
- Links, up to four (click Add link)
- On your profile: Show imported posts (posts you published directly on X, LinkedIn or Threads) and Show agent posts (posts your agents published for you)
Changing your username changes your profile address. See the Account and settings help for step-by-step instructions.
Which posts appear on my public profile?
Your profile shows the posts you have published from Typeshare. Two more kinds can be added with switches in Settings > Profile > On your profile:
- Show imported posts: posts you published directly on X, LinkedIn or Threads and that Typeshare imported from your feeds.
- Show agent posts: posts your agents published for you.
Drafts and scheduled posts that have not been published do not appear. For how to publish a post, see the Write and publishing help.
What are Templates?
Templates are ready-made outlines for posts and essays. Each one gives you a proven structure with blanks to fill in, so you start from more than an empty page.
There are three kinds:
- Short Form: posts and threads for X and other short-form platforms
- LinkedIn: LinkedIn posts
- Atomic Essay: short essays with a title
You can also save any of your own posts as a template (see "How do I save a post as my own template?"). Your own templates show at the top of the Templates page under Your templates.
How do I find and use a template?
- Click Templates in the left sidebar (it is near the bottom, above Marketplace). It opens at
typeshare.co/2/templates. - Narrow the list if you like:
- Click All, Short Form, LinkedIn or Atomic Essay. Each shows how many templates it has.
- Type in Search templates to search names and descriptions.
- Use the All packs menu to show one template pack.
- Click a template card to preview it. The parts you fill in are highlighted.
- Click Use template.
Typeshare creates a new draft from the template and opens it on the Write page:
- Short Form templates open in the short-form editor as a thread. Where the template breaks between posts, you get separate posts in the thread.
- LinkedIn templates open as a LinkedIn post.
- Atomic Essay templates open as an Atomic Essay, with the template's title as the heading.
Replace the highlighted parts with your own words, then publish or schedule as usual.
How do I save a post as my own template?
- Open the post in the editor (Short Form, LinkedIn Post, Long Form, Atomic Essay or Deck).
- Click the ··· menu (Post actions) at the top right. On a phone, tap the ··· button.
- Choose Save as template.
- Type a name. It starts as the post's title, or its first line if it has no title.
- Click Save template.
Typeshare saves your latest edits first, then shows "Saved "<name>" to your templates". Click View in that message to go to the Templates page.
The template keeps the post's format and words, so it opens in the same editor:
- Short Form and LinkedIn Post: the text of every post in the thread, plus the platforms and per-platform versions you set up. It never keeps a schedule or queue time.
- Long Form: the title and the body.
- Atomic Essay and Deck: every card, with its layout and brand.
The post itself doesn't change, and you can save the same post as a template more than once.
How do I use, rename or delete my own templates?
Your templates are at the top of the Templates page (typeshare.co/2/templates), under Your templates, newest first. The section only shows once you have saved a template, and it hides while a pack is picked.
- Use one: click its card to preview it, then click Use template. Typeshare opens a new draft in the same editor the post was written in.
- Rename one: click the ··· at the bottom right of its card, choose Rename, type the new name and click Save.
- Delete one: click the ··· on its card, choose Delete, then Delete again to confirm. Drafts you already made from it stay.
Search templates searches your templates by name too.
Why can't I find Save as template?
Save as template is in the ··· menu inside the editor, not in the ··· menu on your drafts list. Open the post first, then use the menu at the top right.
Why does Save as template say "Write something first"?
The post is empty. A template needs some words: write at least a line (or a title), then save it again.
Can other people see or use my templates?
No. Your templates are private to your account. They don't show on your profile and nobody else can open them.
Why do I see "No templates match"?
Your filters and search together match no templates. Click Show all templates to clear the kind, pack and search filters.
If the page says "Could not load the templates.", click Try again. If Use template shows "Could not create the draft. Try again.", wait a moment and click it again.
Can I use templates on my phone?
Templates is in the left sidebar on a computer. It is not one of the phone home tiles. On a phone, go to typeshare.co/2/templates in your browser.
What is a gift link?
A gift link is a page at typeshare.co/2/gift/... that gives you something ready-made to add to your Typeshare account, such as a carousel design and brand kits. Anyone can open a gift page. You need a Typeshare account to claim the gift.
The current gift is the Ship 30 carousel from Ship 30 for 30, at typeshare.co/2/gift/ship30-carousel. It includes:
- A 6-card carousel, ready for your words
- Two Ship 30 brand kits: Cream and Navy
- One-click PDF export for LinkedIn
How do I claim a gift?
- Open the gift link and click Open your gift.
- Preview the cards. Switch between the brand kits (for the Ship 30 carousel, Cream and Navy) to choose which one the deck uses.
- Click Claim your template.
Typeshare shows "Adding it to your Typeshare…", then "It's yours. Opening the editor…" and opens the deck in the editor. Both brand kits are saved to your account, so you can use them on other designs too.
Claiming the same gift again does not make duplicates. If the deck you claimed before is still a draft, you get that same draft back. Otherwise you get a fresh copy.
How do I claim a gift if I don't have an account?
On the gift page, click Sign up to claim it. You go to the sign-up page. After you sign up, the gift is added to your account automatically during the Set up your profile step, before you choose a plan.
The Ship 30 carousel link also carries the Ship 30 for 30 trial offer for new accounts, shown under the button. See the Billing help for trials.
If something goes wrong, the gift page shows "Could not claim the gift." Click the claim button again, or email help@typeshare.co.
Still stuck? Ask Ty, bottom right. Or email help@typeshare.co.
