We've been marketing on social media since 2009 and created content for more clients than we can count.
What most people don’t know?
We use the same 3 posts every time.
🧵👇
Positioning posts
These posts make the business the obvious choice for their perfect people.
They make it clear:
• What you do
• Who you do it for
• Why they should pick you
E.g.
• Tips and advice
• Testimonials and UGC
• Values & personality
• Experience & credibility
Problem-solving posts
These make the reader think you're talking to them...
"Are they listening to my conversations?"
Identify the problem and offer the solution e.g.:
• Tutorials & how-to guides
• Tips to solve common issues
• Explainers
• Recommendations
Promotional posts
These posts help people take action to:
• Visit your website
• Listen to your podcast
• Join your list
• Buy your stuff
... etc
Positioning posts and problem-solving posts can also become promotional posts.
Just add a CTA!
These ones will give you some inspiration:
All successful social media marketing can be created with this one framework:
We call it The 3P Content Framework®
In order to use it make sure you:
• Use all 3 types & don't rely on just 1
• Start with a compelling hook
• Add a strong CTA
Voila. Your content is sorted!
TL;DR - 3 posts that will help you create content that converts, in less time, with less stress!

Proactive engagement is one of the most essential parts of a social media marketing strategy.
But gurus teaching engagement as a way to hack the algorithm and get a quick win means it's no longer seen as a priority, which hurts the whole marketing strategy for a business.
In recent years, the way proactive engagement has been taught has led to it being:
Seen as an unimportant admin task.
Outsourced to people with no marketing knowledge.
And when that happens, the rest of the social media strategy starts to fail or, at best, underperform.
Proactive engagement is one of the only marketing tactics that can work alone.
If you only did proactive engagement by leaving comments on other people's content, you could still grow a thriving business without creating any content!
In some ways, comments are more influential than content.
They allow you to build connection and brand awareness, resolve problems (sometimes before they even happen) and create relationships that lead to long-term loyal customers.
Proactive engagement is part of your daily life as a human. It's simply conversation, or in a business sense, networking.
If you take the time to build a relationship with someone, they'll become a supporter, friend, customer, colleague, referrer, or advocate.
By leaving comments, you also build a reciprocal relationship where the creator might feel compelled to comment on your content, which will help more people see your brand.
It's time to stop thinking of proactive engagement as secondary to content creation, or worse, an algorithm hack.
To get the best from your social media strategy, ensure a proactive engagement strategy is front and centre.
Successful proactive engagement starts with social listening and responding to people talking about your business and related topics.
Next, use the brand's Audience Personas to proactively engage with your target audience or people you share an audience with.
Building authentic relationships and giving more than you expect to receive is the key to proactive engagement.
It's time to ditch the old advice of commenting on five other accounts before you post
Most social media users go wrong by focusing on the number of comments and prioritising the algorithm's needs.
The quality of conversation and the connections you are building are more important than the number of comments.
Proactive engagement brings far more benefits than simple algorithm hacks when done well.

Before you try to sell on social media ask yourself this:
Would you buy from someone you didn't already know and like? What if you didn't trust them? Or feel sure they were going to deliver on their promise?
I bet the answer is hell no!
Unfortunately, most businesses forget this when they use social media for marketing purposes.
How we make buying choices:
Before we will part with our hard-earned cash we need to know, like and trust the business we are buying from.
We rely on personal experiences & relationships.
We look for credible recommendations and referrals.
We keep an eye on businesses we might buy from.
Businesses have to give their audience everything they need to become future customers.
Here's how to do that on social media:
Step 1: Be visible
You need to be seen!
With conversion rates from organic social media as low 1%, it is a numbers game. You can't dive into a sales strategy if you don't have anyone to sell to. But it's no good just being seen.
You need to be seen by the right people. Multiple times.
Step 2: Deepen the relationship
Less than 9% of people on social media ever engage with another account.
But that doesn't mean your followers aren't watching your every move.
Your content should take them on the journey they need to build a personal relationship with you even if they're not actively engaging with you.
Step 3: Don't try and sell too early
Remember the steps you take before you buy and flip them to ensure you take the same steps before you expect to sell.
Reach the right people and take your time to build their trust before you ever try to convert them.
It's crucial for businesses to sell on social media but unless you follow these steps and take your time to build visibility and deepen relationships with your audience, you'll be disappointed by the results.
We do a deep dive on each of the 3 core marketing focuses in our programme social prf.

You don't need to master Instagram Hashtags.
Instagram hashtags are a powerful tool that can have a very positive impact on your marketing. When done well. But marketers need to stop looking for the magic recipe for using them.
Because there isn't one!
Instagram doesn't make any of its tools impossible to use.
Once you recognise this you'll realise that all those gurus selling 'the ultimate guide to Instagram hashtags' are lying to you! Because it's not that complex! Hashtags are simply Instagram's version of SEO, a tool they created to make it easier for people to find what they want to see (so they stay on the platform for longer!)
Instagram can't benefit by making hashtags so complex that people don't use them.
Follow these 3 simple steps to using Instagram Hashtags and you'll start to see immediate results.
#1. Keep your hashtags relevant
By using relevant hashtags you'll show your content to people who are interested in it. And when they engage with it, you're more likely to rank.
But use a broad hashtag that's not relevant to the content and your post won't rank and might not even be shown at all.
#2. Choose # with high reach potential but low competition.
The more competition, the less likely you are to rank.
But there is little point ranking on a hashtag that doesn't reach many people. Choose a mixture of low, medium and high hashtags
The best way to check if your chosen hashtags have higher reach potential than competition score is by using tools like Flick thetwolauras.com/flick (aff)
#3. Track analytics
Understanding if your hashtags are working is the only way to optimise for success.
There are no shortcuts to achieving success with hashtags, you simply have to test, track and optimise to have success with them.
Stop looking for hacks or golden bullets with hashtags and start putting in the time to build a hashtag strategy instead.
